Bernard "Blackie" Langlais
Am. (1921 - 1977)

Maine painter and sculptor, Bernard Langlais, is best known for his animal sculptures, and in particular, his lions. (Perhaps because he was a Leo!)  His work appears in numerous public collections including the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Art Institute of Chicago, and in private collections including those of David Rockefeller and Jamie Wyeth.
