Dahlov Ipcar is a widely acclaimed painter and illustrator of childrens' books.  The daughter of famed sculptor William Zorach and painter Marguerite Zorach, she lived in Georgetown, Maine since 1937.  Her work is collected worldwide and is in the permanent collections of numerous museums including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art.  In 2012 the Farnsworth Museum of Art awarded her with the Maine in America Award which honors her outstanding contribution to Maine's role in American art.  From May 1 to June 28, 2017, the Ogunquit Museum of American Art exhibited her early work including a selection of original work from her 1939 solo exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art.
