 Frederick "Fritz" Kubitz feels it is essential to his painting process to work on location; many times he  extracts the essence of a scene while "on the spot" and later develops it into a major painting in his studio. His training as an architect is evident in his portrayal of old New England buildings. He is an award winning member of the American Watercolor Society and the New England Watercolor Society.  His work is included in numerous prominent corporate and private collections.
