P Frey Reflections on the Sheepscot 36 x

Philip Frey paints Maine's landscapes from his studio in coastal downeast Maine.  He was born in Portland, Maine and received his BFA in painting from Syracuse University.

Frey's "Lighthouse on Monhegan" pictured on the right prominently shows the signal bell which was cast by Henry N. Cooper & Co. in 1855 and was in service at the Manana Fog Signal Station for about 15 years.  It now hangs outside the entrance to the Monhegan Museum of Art and History.
