The Farnsworth Art Museum is currently exhibiting Thomas Crotty's "Basin Cove, Dusk." This magnificent oil painting was donated to the Farnsworth by one of our collectors. It was also included in the Portland Museum of Art's 2003-2004 exhibition "A Solitude of Space: Thomas Crotty at the Portland Museum of Art."

I was in Ogunquit yesterday and saw a spectacular performance of "Ain't Too Proud" which told the story of the life and times of the Temptations. The show has ended its run at the Ogunquit Playhouse, but if you have a chance to see it in another city, you should absolutely go. We had a wonderful dinner at the Maine Catch restaurant which is nearby on Shore Road. We did not have a chance to visit one of our favorite Maine art museums, the Ogunquit Museum of American Art, but

The Farnsworth Art Museum just announced a new exhibition of Joel Babb's paintings, Shifting Vision: Joel Babb's Painting Universe . The exhibition will open on October 3, 2026 and run through January 31, 2027.
