Born in Sweden and student of Robert Henri, Carl Sprinchorn painted in the Maine woods from 1919 to 1952. His paintings are in the collections of many museums including the Portland Museum of Art, the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
